Expanded Digital Library
The Digital Library has been expanded. It was first launched in June 2006. It now includes an additional 384 documents, written between 1960 and 1979. This update nearly completes the main body of the Digital Library. One additional major update is expected that will add content from the early to mid 1980s, along with a new collection being published of Business Situation articles that recap monthly economic events. Customers of the Digital Library can expect this additional content to appear in late May, 2008. The present update covers many topics ranging from business investment in pollution abatement and control to an annual series on federal expenditure programs.
With these newly added documents, users of the Digital Library can further explore the economic history of the United States and witness the evolution of the national income and product accounts and the macroeconomic situation accompanying them.
Users can also investigate other historical topics among the 1,036 Survey of Current Business articles now contained in the library, such as the capital flows in international markets just after the Great Depression or explore Annual Review articles through 1974.
In addition, the Digital Library includes a collection of selected other documents containing first Federal Trade Commission Report on National Wealth from 1926, along with a report on monthly income payments from 1929 to 1940. Additional articles will be added in the coming months.
The Digital Library now contains a total of 1,050 documents, including those that were not originally published in the Survey of Current Business.
